Field Rules and Conduct

1. Each and every member of the club that participates in club activities must maintain a valid AMA Open, or Youth membership at all times. Failure to maintain a valid AMA membership results in an immediate loss of flying privileges as well as club membership.


2. Before flying a non-member guest must provide proof of a valid AMA Open or Youth license. And will be limited to a two-week period as a guest flyer.

 * A prospective member must provide proof of a valid AMA licensee and will have up to 30 days to decide if they wish to join the club starting with the first visit to the field. After 30 days a prospective member must pay the club dues and enter into the probationary period.


3. All flyers must exhibit the ability to fly in a safe manner. And be able to fly within the set boundaries of the field. Those unable to do so are required to fly with the assistance of an experienced flyer using a "buddy box" system.


4. Perspective members must be at least 12 years old to join the club. Minors under the legal age of 18 at the time of applying for club membership must have a parent sign for them. The parent must also agree to be responsible for the minor's actions. The parent must always be present when the minor is participating in club activities.


5. All flying must be contained to the open rectangular area of land directly in front of the runway and to the north of the runway. On the west side flying is NOT PERMITTED OVER THE HOMES in the Trails subdivision! On the east side flying is not permitted over the ball fields or parking areas. Flying is not permitted over the shelter or behind the runway over the flight line (pits). Failure to fly within the boundaries will result in the loss of club membership!


6. Due to safety issues, limited space, and to keep noise levels to a minimum. Only one person will fly at a time. The only exception being when the person flying agrees to another person flying with them. And then being limited to a total of two aircraft of any type flying at anytime.


7. Flying hours are 8am to 8pm Monday through Saturday and 9am to 6pm on Sunday.


8. The club reserves the right to deem an aircraft unacceptable to fly at this flying location. For reasons of its size, weight, or noise issues. Glow fuel powered or gas powered aircraft are not permitted to fly at this location. Most larger scale aircraft such as 33% or 1/4 scale are not permitted to fly at this location. In addition some high speed performance aircraft (as examples jets and pylon racers) may be in this category as well. The final decision on what can be flown will be up to the clubs officers.


9. All trash and cigarette butts must be picked up and taken with the flyer upon leaving the field.


10. The designated parking area is outside of the field entrance gate. Vehicles are not permitted to drive up to the shelter or pit area per our lease agreement. The only exceptions will be for an individual who is physically unable to walk to the flying area. Handicap permits must be displayed and used in accordance with Florida State Law. And must first be verified by the club before being used. And for field work/maintenance reasons.


11. While flying the entrance gate should be opened only wide enough to allow foot traffic to pass. This is to deter motor vehicle traffic from driving on the field. The gate must be locked when leaving the field.


12. These rules and guidelines are in place for safety. And to be respectful to our surrounding neighbors. Failure to follow these rules and procedures will be reason to revoke ones Club Membership. The club reserves the right to limit membership for noise and safety purposes. As well as to ensure a reasonable degree of flying time as well as quality.


13. All Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.


14. The club officers have the right to exercise Executive Order to make decisions concerning rules interpretations. As well as matters related with protecting or persevering the privilege of using the field. Grievances can be heard at the next monthly meeting.

New Member Requirements

1. Prospective member must possess a valid AMA Open or Youth Membership card. Pay the one time initiation fee of $50.00 and the annual dues of $50.00 for a total of $100.00.


2. A prospective member must be at least 12 years old to become a member. Minors under the age of 18 must have a parent sign for the minor’s club membership and be responsible for the minor’s actions. A parent must be present when a minor is participating in club activities.


3. Demonstrate to the club they have the ability to fly safely and within the boundaries of the flying field. If not the prospective member must be willing to fly only under the supervision of a designated member until such ability has been achieved.


4. A beginner just learning to fly will only do so with a designated club instructor using a buddy box. The beginning flyer will be allowed to fly on his own only after the instructor is satisfied that the beginner is capable of flying safely and within the field boundaries.


5. Must attend a regular club meeting for introduction and orientation including the terms of our lease agreement and respect to the surrounding neighbors.


6. Prospective member must read and agree to abide by the club rules. Prospective member must sign a copy of the club rules.


7. The prospective member will be subject to a probationary period of up to 90 days. At the next regular meeting following the probationary period the membership will vote on approval of Full membership. Upon Full membership approval the new member will then be given a key to the field gate. Should the new member not receive approval from the club membership the association with the club is terminated. And membership fees will be refunded.
